Pakistan, November 21, 2025 — TikTok has unveiled its new Time and Well-being space, a refreshed hub designed to help users—especially teens and families—relax, unwind, and build healthier digital habits. The initiative strengthens TikTok’s ongoing commitment to user well-being, following recent enhancements to its Family Pairing tools and the Time Away feature, which allows parents to pause teens’ access when needed.
Earlier this year, TikTok also rolled out a nighttime meditation feature for teens, supporting them in establishing a calming, healthy routine before sleep. The new Time and Well-being space expands these efforts by offering dedicated tools that promote mindfulness, relaxation, and balanced screen time.
Supporting Positive Digital Habits
Across Pakistan, millions engage with TikTok communities such as #JournalTok and #NatureTok. The new space replaces the old screen time management page and introduces several enriched features, including:
- Affirmational Journal: Users can set daily intentions and choose from over 120 affirmation cards to download or share.
- Soothing Sound Generator: Offers calming sounds like rain, ocean waves, and white noise. Research shows TikTok users are 14% more likely than non-users to listen to music for sleep or relaxation*.
- Mindful Breathing Exercises: Guided breathing practices to help users refocus and de-stress.
These additions build on TikTok’s robust safety ecosystem. Teen accounts automatically come with over 50 privacy and safety settings enabled. The nighttime meditation feature has already been adopted by nearly a quarter of TikTok’s global teen community. Family Pairing usage also continues to rise, with more than one million parents and guardians using the tool last month alone.
Introducing New Well-being Missions
Alongside the updated space, TikTok is launching four Well-being Missions—short, engaging activities that help users build long-term healthy habits. As users complete missions, they earn badges that reward mindful behavior.
Key elements include:
- Eight-Week Sleep Hours Mission: Users grow a virtual “Well-being Tree” as they maintain healthier sleep routines.
- Daily Screen Time Badge: Rewards users for staying within set limits.
- Weekly Screen Time Review: Encourages users to check and reflect on their usage.
- Well-being Ambassador Mission: Allows users to invite friends to participate and stay motivated together.
Developed using insights from the Digital Wellness Lab, TikTok’s internal research, and feedback from its Youth Council, these missions emphasize positive reinforcement rather than restriction. Early results show high engagement, with the affirmation journal emerging as the most popular feature.
Making Well-being Easier to Access
To ensure the new tools are easily discoverable, TikTok will link users to the Time and Well-being space whenever they hit their daily screen time limit or when Sleep Hours are active. Prompts will also appear in Take a Break videos. TikTok plans to further integrate these tools across the platform, ensuring they become a seamless part of everyday use.
By listening to teen voices—two-thirds of whom say time-management tools are helpful—TikTok aims to empower its community to relax, unwind, and cultivate a healthier relationship with technology. This initiative reinforces TikTok’s commitment not only to creativity and entertainment but also to the digital well-being of its global community.
